Cheers, I can't wait for departure day
If anyone has any suggestions of lunch (mainly) or dinner places that I haven't reported on before please throw them in here. Also when we get going if anyone wants any info or up to date menus etc then speak up and I'll do my best to help. Edited at 08:41 PM. |

Excellent. We are heading back in July also.
27 nights will be great, we did 26 nights a few years ago and what an escape from reality...We are 20 nights this time. From the looks of it we have a few adrs in common, Cali Grill although its the brunch we are doing and the Flying Fish. I wonder if our food reports will mirror similar experiences or be poles apart We've booked the brunch at The Kitchen for our last day at HRH, a new experience for us. If you see us milling about be sure to say hello.

Rescuer Excellent. We are heading back in July also.
27 nights will be great, we did 26 nights a few years ago and what an escape from reality...We are 20 nights this time. Our previous trips have been around 16/17 nights though we did do 21 for my 50th two years ago. Looking forward to not feeling rushed at all this time. From the looks of it we have a few adrs in common, Cali Grill although its the brunch we are doing and the Flying Fish. I wonder if our food reports will mirror similar experiences or be poles apart Hopefully we'll both have great experiences! We've booked the brunch at The Kitchen for our last day at HRH, a new experience for us. It's been three years since we last did the brunch but it was great, loads of choice and very frequent refills of the hot dishes. If you see us milling about be sure to say hello. Yeah, will do Edited at 08:53 PM. |

Two weeks to go and still waiting to see if we can switch CG from 4/7 to 3/7 but no luck yet.
Postman brought a nice surprise today though, DW is an 837 Club Member at the Palm and it's her birthday in July so they have sent her a voucher for a 3lb lobster or choice of other entree on the house so we'll be putting that to good use |

Nice! Can I ask which HRH restaurant (or nearby) you would recommend? Only there for 2 nights and never stayed onsite Universal before so no clue 😂 also have DD 7 with us if that makes a difference? Thanks as always Dr.JJ! 👍

At HRH the Pool bar is good, The Kitchen is average to good, we had the awful fish last trip but have enjoyed previous meals there and a really nice brunch a couple of years ago.
The Palm is my favourite and is definitely on a par with Cali Grill / YS / FF etc price wise but I think is a touch above on food and service. The servers seem to be able to combine top notch menu knowledge with excellent service. The are friendly and attentive without being too much in your face. thepalm/menus/?menu=dinner We also enjoyed the Trattoria del porto a couple of years ago at the Portofino but that was pre report days sorry.
