Upgrade Virgin flights?

Hi, we’re flying BFS to MCO on 29th June with Virgin. I enquired about an upgrade today but was told I can’t upgrade or even get a price for an upgrade until 24 hours before the flight? I would have thought that upgrade info would be available before that?

It depends what ticket you have, we were told this and it was because our we bought EC seats and upgraded with air miles x

You can also just look at the price difference form what you paid and the price of the class you want to upgrade to.
We have done this and paid the difference. And we didn't have an upgradable ticket.

Not surprised that Virgin couldn't give you the upgrade information you wanted. As the BFS-MCO flight is a limited service it may be that it is a busy flight already or you may have a booking class that isn't upgradeable.
