omg after reading this thread we decided to try Culvers for the first time tonight! All four of us, including DH and DS17 and DS14, thought it was amazing. As close to an In N Out burger as you can get on the East coast and that's high praise indeed in our family ;-) Also loved the frozen custard which is, as others have posted, good quality ice cream. How have I missed out on this gem of a "fast food" outlet! Thank you OP!

You can eat as cheaply as $5 for a "Snackpak" basically a smaller meal with burger, fries and drink. I find it plenty but the full size ones are about $7. The kids meal even comes with an ice cream.

Culvers was our new find in April and we went three times. Burgers are fab and the ice cream variety is amazing. You can see it being made at the back!
