BA flydrive child car seats

Does anyone know how much Avis charge you for the car seats? On the BA site I can request them but no indication of cost and Avis make a separate charge for them when you pick car up.

Also what car seats do they give you?

This is the Avis.com link. It gives you the 4 types of seat and the price charged locally. Namely $13 per day to a max of $65 in total.

Maybe different though booking via the UK

Very interesting (and does say depending on location). Some friends of mine arrived at FLL in Aug and were quoted just under $15 a day (with tax) but did not max out at $65 (or $80 with tax) they wanted the rate for the full 14 days so they left it and went to a walmart and brough some which delayed them a few hours. At the $65 ($80 incl) they would have taken it. If this was a agent commission con they lost out big time.

plus tax (6.5%) and airport fee's (10%) so just short of $80.

You can take yours for free on BA for kids under 10? Might be a better option?

I do normally do this as I don't want to compromise safety by just getting cheap ones. This time we are only getting the car for part of the trip so will be carrying car seats around that we don't need. If the Avis ones were maxed at $65 ($80) that's def an option but looks like that is not guaranteed.
Thanks for the replies

I know what I would be doing.
E Mail Avis in the US and ask about the max cost of the seat if added on out there.
If the reply is what it says online I would then print that response out and take it with me in case they go back on that price at the desk.
Forewarned is forearmed.
