We love DME. I’ve been going to Orlando for years and always got a car at the airport. But then about 4 trips ago we decided to try DME and get a car hire the next day.
This was partly driven by getting sick and tired of the hard sell at MCO which we always seemed to get. We are tired and wanted on our way and this guy at Alamo MCO was just horrendous. My hubby was so stressed by time we got in the car that we missed our turning and vowed after that to try DME. Well, it was the best thing! No more hard sell or faffing getting your car or tired driving we could literally let them do it for us. And then the next day hubby went to pick up the car from DCCC. We love being able to relax after the flight and take in the scenery. No worries if luggage will fit or directions etc. We find it much easier. And now we have children it’s even easier and a lovely way to start the trip with the video. I think it is pretty special actually!
I probably going to get lots if people saying they don’t get the hard sell and we’ve been unlucky, perhaps, but I’ve been going to Orlando for over 35yrs now used pretty much all the big hire places in both sanford and MCO and it’s rare we haven’t had it so I think I must look an easy target which is pretty ridiculous given how often I’ve been! 😂

I think with the straight to car options this isn't as bad now, but I agree, it was absolutely terrible.
I also agree, it is relaxing and the kids like it, to simply get on a bus and have them drive for you. And I've had 30 odd trips to USA, driven through nearly 30 States, and must have driven 50000 miles there.

emm food for thought
i could save myself at least 2 days car hire cause we are going to MK on the first day no matter what
and i see why it would be pointless to drive

Think Dolphin was ok for collection for us but it has limited opening hours so you need to check the times.
