Which companies offer skip the counter?
We are due to travel in November and for the last few trips have booked Alamo brits but the prices for 12 days this November are almost double what we have previously paid! So just starting to look at other companies but if possible would rather do skip the counter so we can just go straight to the garage with 2 very tired kids! Which other car rental companies offer this?

Loads of Dibbers have said how expensive Alamo Brits are these days. Have you tried DFCH or Virgin Atlantic for Alamo?
Avis allow STC if you join Preferred but not as good, in my opinion, as Alamo as the car is pre-allocated. There is a swap line if you don't like the one they offer. Mick

No matter who you book an Alamo car with you can do online check in and skip the counter.
Alamo will say you can't with a 3rd party supplier. Spooky that! We all do it with Andy, Virgin, Auto Europe, Netflights etc etc. What prices are you looking at and what dates?

Our dates are 10th - 22nd November and looking for a full size/ premium size - something big enough for 2 adults 2 kids, 3 cases and a stroller Alamo brits were around £550, from memory we've paid nearer £300 for 14 days before!

Auto Europe are quoting £328 for Toyoto Rav 4 with Alamo, we normally book with them and when you get a confirmation of payment there is a direct link to the check in with Alamo to print of the sheet with bar code so you can go straight to garage.
Hope this helps. Melvin and Lesley
