also very strangely they wont fully schedule these flights until 330 days out, so planes may change again!

They have advised they will refund the additional cost and we can keep some perks like priority boarding and increased baggage. I'm going to call them tomorrow but I don't know what to do. It's been a long time since we flew economy but I'm guessing they won't allow us to cancel.

There are exit row seats showing. I wonder if I should ask for these?

I also never received a booking confirmation email so I'm not sure how much that particular leg cost

Any advice dibbers?

Thanks

We are on the same flight too 😊 We also got an email of downgrading yesterday too. They told us the seat allocation would happen in the next few days

It's my understanding that all EU laws we currently abide by will have to be repealed individually which means that it could take a considerable amount of time to do this. Some of the laws like this one that protect the consumer are highly unlikely to be repealed.

Just one of the long list of things the government need to sort out with Brexit but would rather have an election to distract us all.

That's good to know. I may start a wee flight claims business for busy dibbers.

Major issues trying to actually get Thomas Cook to listen. Have phoned number on email which turned out to be only for packages. I then phoned the original number and was cut off twice mid phone call for pointing out the EU regulations. The last person I spoke to told me that I had it wrong and it was only 75% of the tax which should be refunded. He cut me off when I tried to point out otherwise. We would ideally like to move premium to our outbound flight instead. Really not happy with their customer service. On the email it said "call to discuss alternatives" but they are not willing to even listen! At this rate I make ask for a cancellation and go with Thomsons - that's if I actually get to speak to someone before being rudely cut off. Not amused!

I have spoken to them on their online chat and have got responses straight away. They've helped me re allocate seats and have given me extra baggage allowance! They've also told me how much refund I will be receiving

I had the same email, I have rebooked for different days as we definitely want to fly premium. I had a post on here that suggested I ranted like a maniac but believe me, I did not, my frustration is the hierarchy changing your holiday when you have paid for it without any consultation etc etc. I have emailed the CEO of Thomas Cook Airlines today to ask the question of removing all week day premium economy flights from MCO in Sep/Oct next year. I had a really helpful guy on the phone for over an hour and we both agreed there was no way I was going to pay any extra (which is what his manager wanted) and after 90 minutes we did get to a solution, but not one really that satisfies me as we are flying on days we would not normally pick. Should TC continue with this practise, back to VA we will go.

But it doesn't seem to be all week day flights my flight is a Monday and I haven't had any email, the seats are showing as premium still and they are still selling premium seats for my flights. I think it's dangerous to assume that it's all week day flights
