Popped our 5 guys cherry today and

After years of saying we'll try it, I convinced everyone to go today and what a let down!
I had veggie sandwich, DH a bacon cheeseburger, DS1 grilled cheese, DS2 fries. It was awful, over cooked burger, dry tasteless fries, 'plastic' cheese. Would we go back? No. Not an experience to repeat

I'm with you on this. Have no idea what the fuss is about. Tasteless burgers with plastic cheese melted into the meat making it 10 times worse and average fries at best.

We were so disappointed, we go home tomorrow and could have chose much better plus everyone blamed me lol

These things happen. I think we've all tried places based on popularity only to find them not to our taste. At least you know now!

We tried Beth's burger bar near vista cay the other day and it was tremendous... highly recommend.

Didn't have one in the US but one opened in Belfast a while ago. Have to say, I wasn't impressed with it and neither was my insides

We've tried a few in several locations a couple have been really great according to the Burger connoisseur in the family but his last trip they went to RedRobbin at Champions Gate after we said it was really good and I'm not a great Burger fan he's now a total convert definitely a better class of Burger he says

peoples' mental image of five guys seems to be some sort of magical place where they will have the best burger they've ever had.


people need to set their expectations correctly.

five guys in the US is great when you compare it to the likes of mcdonalds. its only a bit more expensive, but the quality is so much better. but its still just a burger.

in the UK, five guys is priced at restaurant levels (so much so, our local independent burger joint is cheaper!)... its a novelty, and again should only really be compared to the likes of McD's and BK. its good for the occasional QUICK meal, but i wouldnt eat there regularly.


they are good burgers. but if you go in expecting something *amazing* or magical, youll definitely come out disappointed.

We tried it for the first time when we were there in march very overrated , try Shula burger on the 192 better by miles and better service 👍🏻
