Alamo Car Insurance

Hello,

I travel to Orlando in November and for the first week we are on a cruise - We're looking to hire a car for the Sunday we get back until the Friday we depart Orlando.

Looking through Alamo and an intermediate SUV is 201.42 when you click through. This comes with Collision damage waiver full & Extended protection... Do I need to add on Personal accident ins/effects cvg or Roadside plus?

With the package FAD that shows on the right hand side it says the following is included:
Collision Damage Waiver Full
Extended Protection
Additional Driver

This is my first time hiring a car in America and want to make sure I don't get talked out of more money when i arrive.

Thanks in advance!

Demi

OK. You dont need the PAI (Personal Accident Insurance) as that is what is included in your normal holiday insurance. They may try and sell it to you but you dont need it. I can understand why they do sell it as an American may want it as opposed to using their own cover.

Enhanced Roadside Assistance covers lost keys, mis fuelling (impossible as all their cars are petrol!) undercarriage damage and the big one is they will come and change a wheel for you. The last one is handy if you aren't confident or can't change a wheel yourself after a puncture.

Most of us dont bother with it, I dont. If you do want it let me know as it is so much chaper to use a 3rd party broker that is half of the Alamo price.
