Mobile Alamo through Virgin upgrade?

We have a car booked through Virgin holidays I'm going to call them to get a price for upgrading to a full-size SUV.
I was just wondering when I do the online check in with alamo is there an upgrade option?

I don't think you can... I'm pretty sure my login to alamo with my virgin package says you can't modify the booking, unless that's because I've already checked in?

OP. I haven't completed it but I have just clicked and got the Alamo/Virgin online check in page up.

I put in my Ref No so it's picked up my booking.

There is the usual spaces for drivers details etc and the tick boxes for fuel, child seat etc etc. Nothing about prices to upgrade sorry.

There’s no vehicle upgrade option at OLCI, only options to add ‘add-ons’ like child seats, sat nav etc.
You’ll have to go through Virgin or wait until you arrive at MCO, likely to be expensive once over there though.
Have a look at Skyscanner for car hire. They’ve got some good deals at the moment.
A Full Size SUV from Alamo for 14 days is £200 cheaper than Virgin, albeit for this weekend!

We all like something nice on holiday. As you say give Virgin a bell to see what they can do.

If you do try for an upgrade in the garage be careful. I know the staff as I'm there a lot so I can get any upgrade for $10 a day that's even for an upgrade to an Escalade etc.

But, there is still tax at 6.5% to go on that plus the airport user fee of 10%.

Hence I have a natter to them but don't bother upgrading.

$10 per day to upgrade.

We did it a few weeks ago.

Was cheaper than booking top category.
