No show seat advice
If a family were a no show for a flight, what would happen to their seats?
Would they be given to other passengers or would they remain empty? Just curious as we may have a family as a no show, we have all pre booked seats together. But I have randomly put our names on the seats. I am now wondering if it’s best to put my family names together incase they allot their seats to other families or will we have the spare seats? Thanks |

They can allocate the seats to other passengers, so I would be inclined to move your party next to each other if you want to make sure it stays that way.

Unless it was a quiet flight you might be lucky but if busy there is a possibility that the airline will place other passengers in the seats so I wouldn't risk it.

Most likely they will move others onto the seats, they will have staff travelling on standby and also when they no show, their seat reservation will be released so others could choose it as their seat instead
If it's a relatively empty flight you could end up with spare seats - but I certainly wouldn't rely on it |

Seats would be released after checkin is complete and would be given to standby passengers.
If there was no overbooking or standby passengers then most likely they will remain empty. if its busy then they will be re-allocated |
