Aquatica crowd levels
Given the closure of Blizzard Beach when we are there in mid Sept we thought we would pay a visit to Aquatica. We would avoid the weekend and were just wondering what the crowd levels would be like? Will we be able to do everything in a day?
Any advice or tips are most welcome. |

We were there last week. Queues were huge. We spent most of the day in the wave pool or the lazy river as couldn’t face the queues. We much preferred typhoon lagoon.

I would highly recommend Volcano Bay as a park that has addressed all the failings of Aquatica - better rides, more loungers in shade, tapu tapu virtual queuing system so you don’t spend all your visit watching express pass people wandering past you while you queue

We were there a week ago and easily managed all the slides, some more than once and longest q was half an hr. Lots of time for crazy river n play area too. We got there for opening, got a seat in the shade n hit the slides first...had a great day, no express passes. Go midweek in September and should be even quieter. We did it October 2017 n it was a little quieter then.

We were there a few days ago for the first time. Arrived around 10.30, queues were horrendous, parking overflowed and as mentioned seemed loads of people had express passes. We left after two and half hours, IF we try and go back will be for opening time

We went twice a couple of weeks ago. The first time we were there for opening and after a couple of hours the queues were huge for all the main slides.
The second time we went in the evening just after a storm. It was almost empty and we went on everything apart from the new slide which was closed. We have been to Aquatica quite a few times in August over the last few years and it was always really busy after a couple of hours. Get there for opening if you can - first hour is quiet. |
