Thanks for the comments - today’s inbound was cancelled so that must be why there’s no return flight today. We’ve managed to snag the last couple of seats on Thursday’s direct flight so we’re enjoying a couple of days of extra holiday at BA’s expense!

Nothing significant weather wise yet... nhc.noaa.gov
The strike is 12 days away ... not even the standard 14 so nah !
This conspiracy theory doesn't erm fly

Glad you’re sorted, out of interest what was the cancelled flight number?

BA2036 (along with outbound BA2037) cancelled today. Both eligible for EC261 compensation.

An update - another email this morning offering us the chance to change flights and return any date up to September 4th. . Quick check on manage my booking and my assigned seat doesn’t exist due to a change of aircraft. Unable to change seats on the seat map so phoned BA and hopefully it’s all sorted, although they’re asking for people to be bumped voluntarily. Hope it doesn’t affect any other Dibbers. I suspect the plane change is due to BA needing higher economy capacity on Caribbean flights home due to hurricane Dorian.

Flew back on the 27th Aug BA2038 @ 19.55. It was packed but on time. So not hurricane related.
