One way fees

Does anyone know which companies now charge a one way fee within florida?

There are no one way fees to collect and drop off at different points within Florida definitely from the main car companies and think it is a State thing. Have often gone into Miami and out from Orlando or reverse if doing a cruise afterwards or leaving the car at Disney.

Alamo are boosting their fees for a Port Canaveral 1 way to MCO. Bizarre really as one would have thought they would want the cars back at MCO and not clogging up the Port.

It’s started in the last year for Florida. It’s been mentioned on here a few times but I can’t find which ones have it.

We've never had a charge with Alamo.

In July we picked up from the airport at Tampa and dropped off at the Dolphin (less than two hours later!) and there was no one-way rental charge applicable.

The only one I’ve seen is Alamo for rentals starting in Port Canaveral

Alamo do seem to be the only one I’ve encountered so far. They’ve recently reduced it from $160 for one way trips starting at Port Canaveral to $50 but it’s still out of line with their competitors as far as I can tell. It’s payable locally so regardless of who you book with.
