I have also noticed that the tickets I paid £429 for are now £399. I understand that tickets are always cheaper during the free nights offer than during free dining offer however. I think you might need to give up free dining to get the cheaper ticket price.

This always happens, you have free dining. Nothing is ever free, although the UK dining deal is still a good one, even if the overall cost has risen rapidly over the last few years.

Not sure why you would be entitled to a refund of the difference? That was the deal when you booked. If the prices went up, would you expect them to call you and ask you to pay more? It’s swings and roundabouts. The free dining in my view is still a fantastic offer and I’d take that over a free nights offer and cheaper tickets, not least because it just makes it easier.

The short answer is no. Disney change ticket prices depending on the offer and they are always more expensive during free dining.

I did email them when I noticed this and asked if we could save the price difference. I was told that I would have to cancel and rebook the holiday to get it, so I politely refused. Never know unless you ask though.

Would you be happy for Disney to change your invoice if the current price of the tickets increased before September?
If yes, then by all means contact Disney and see if they will amend your invoice to reflect whatever the current value of the tickets is or will be, rather than the price you agreed to pay at the time of booking (which is how these contracts usually work). Disney is under no obligation to refund or change the invoice that you agreed to at the time of booking but maybe it will as a goodwill gesture if you ask.
