14 day ultimate but 15 nights?

Is there any way to make this work other than having a non park day at the start or end of our holiday? My planning might mean 16 Disney days but 15 nights.
Thanks.

Although the tickets are 14 days they actually expire on the first day of use plus 14 days. (So actually 15 days)

...but apparently this doesn't work if you use them for 14 consecutive days in the parks. (So you have to have an off day in the middle)

I'd start with a day at Disney Springs and around the pool.

Maybe I'm missing something but, 15 nights would be.
Day 1 - Arrival
Day 2-15 - 14 days
Day 16 - Departure

Most people wouldnt go to a park on the day of arrival or departure. So you are left with 14 days.

Copied from my posting in a previous thread:

Disney tickets have 2 types of expiry.

1. A number of days admission
2. An overall expiry (usually 14 days after first use). <- without this they would be non-expiring tickets, remember how good they were!

Therefore the 7 day ticket will expire 14 days after first use (effectively day 15) or when all 7 days admissions have been used, whichever occurs first.

Magic you way tickets (USA tickets) also have this expiry mechanism.
21 day ultimate tickets expire 21 days after first use (effectively day 22)

Op: In your case 15 nights, you will have to skip your arrival AND one other day if you want to enter a park on day 16.

Last year we had the 21 day Disney tickets but actually needed 22. I know lots on here have said that there tickets worked the day after they expired but I didn't want to risk not getting into MK on our last day.
Our first day was a non park day which we all loved - we had a nice breakfast at the food court without the need to rush, picked the hire car up from DCCC, went to Walmart and stocked up on cereals, snacks & pop tarts We like to use our ding credits for mainly lunch ( QS ) and Dinner ( TS ). We had a few hours in the pool, got changed and headed over to Wilderness Lodge for the first showing of Hoop de Hoop and finished off with a wagon ride around the resort. It was a lovely way to start our holiday and was up bright and early the next day ready for our first park day in Magic Kingdom.
