Universal tickets - using tickets purchased by third party

I need to buy 2 Universal explorer tickets for my daughter and bf who are travelling with us in November
I have noticed a few people are selling tickets due to cancelled holidays
Does anyone know if the explorer tickets can be transferred to a third party and if so can this only be done if the tickets are unsigned
Would hate to buy a ticket which cannot be used then be forced to pay gate prices
We need a minimum of 2 days park to parkas they want to ride Hogwarts express and the cheapest explorer I have seen is £204 or £205.50 at loveorlando or orlandoattractions and would prefer actual tickets in hand if at all possible
If anyone knows a cheaper option that would be great

Where have you noticed" a few people " selling Universal ( and I'd assume WDW ) tickets due to 'cancelling holidays'? I'd be very, very wary. especially if it's sites such as eBay, Gumtree and the like...

The ONLY safe way to buy genuine and unused tickets is via a legit seller or via Universal site. Anything else is no guarantee you'll get genuinely unused tickets. Far too many scammers out there to risk buying from unknown sellers imho.

I would never take the chance. Who cancels a disney hol?!😆😆. Only kidding, i know there are genuine reasons!
I have only ever used the ones advertised at the top of this page. Used American Attractions and Florida tickets direct. Depends who has best deal.

As the others have said, I would be very wary about buying tickets from random people on the internet who may have "cancelled their holiday" and now have some spare tickets. They could be legit or they may not - you won't know until you try to use the tickets to enter a theme park. And if the tickets don't work you'll have no comeback.

Having said that, an unused ticket can be given to someone else. In effect, third party ticket sellers (eg. the ones listed in the yellow note banner above this thread) buy tickets and then pass them on to yourself. So tickets can be transferred in this manner. But the tickets must be completely unused - if they are partially-used then it is illegal to transfer them to someone else.
