Upgrading one way only with B.A

If I book a flight and car package but want to upgrade flight on return leg only, is there any way I can book online or do I have to call British airways

I'm sure I read recently that B.A were changing things and extra luggage allowance would not be granted for both ways if you only upgrade one way

Correct. BA have stopped the more generous allowance on all legs and it only applies 1 way now for all new bookings.
