Colon, semi colon, comma or ?
Hi, need a whizz at grammar please.
The sentence is an advert basically, so should it be Dibbers Garage, a local garage offering local service for local prices OR Dibbers Garage; a local garage offering local service for local prices OR Dibbers Garage - a local garage offering local service for local prices OR Something else entirely? Thanks Joa p.s. I should add that it's not my advert. I don't like it as it doesn't flow properly for me (the service bit especially), but I just want to get the grammar correct.

I do not know which is grammatically correct, but the colon and semi colon both look a bit weird to me. So I would opt for the third.

Over 55 years since I got English Language O level but the option with the dash also looks better to me.
But it's never too soon to start another DIBB apostrophe debate. Must be 6 months since we had one. If the word "Dibbers" is replacing the name of the garage owner such as John or a Mr Smith then you need an apostrophe - John's Garage, Smith's Garage, Dibber's Garage etc. Only saying. Mick

If it’s an advert.. I would do something more like this:
DIBBERS GARAGE A local garage, offering local service for local prices! And have the first part as a title maybe? |

It's many years since I did O Level English Grammar and I can't make up my mind between the dash and the colon
