As I said previously we need to stop ordering on line and go to shops and support our local high streets

I do prefer to buy in the actual shop so I can make sure the item is in perfect condition but we live in a small town and the shops like JD and Footasylum are small and don’t have a huge range of stock.
We don’t have selfridges, M&S, Disney store, John Lewis, Apple etc so unfortunately online shopping is the only option for certain items.

A great idea and one I would endorse apart from a few things

The goods are normally more expensive
It costs money to get there either by bus or using diesel and paying to park
It takes an age of my time whereas online I can check dozens of places in minutes.

As I pointed out in my post earlier, we live in a rural location. Our nearest town has a small Boots branch which had very little Christmas gifts. There are no major stores in the town and even the next town after that one has no large stores with lots of Christmas stock. To get to Cardiff I need to pay £7 for a return bus ticket to a train station then around £8-10 for a return train ticket. The journey alone would take 1 hour 10 minutes each way.

It isn’t possible for everyone to shop instore. I don’t think it’s too much to expect goods to be delivered within a reasonable time and undamaged when I often have to pay extra for the service.
