My daughter is as yet, undiagnosed autistic, through MIND we have been assigned a support worker who is coming to meet with us today, my daughter is having none of it so will see how it goes. I actually feel sick, the thought of everything we’ve been through to get this far and finally we have someone who might be able to help, I want to cry with relief

My daughter has a diagnosis of autism, we were lucky (if that seems right word to use) she was diagnosed early before her 5th birthday so went through the multidisciplinary team, but a few years back she had a real issue with her anxiety (still does at times) and she was referred for art therapy with a mind worker, they were fantastic and when I asked they said they do a lot of outsourced work with the likes of Camhs to try and ease the wait times, everything crossed for you that you get the support needed xx

Thank you, my daughter is 11 and I suspected autism from age 2 but no one would listen and she was so good at blending in at school. She also suffers with anxiety and I have done art based things with her myself as I think you recommended it to me on here before, just sitting and doing that with her helped but i’m sure they do so much more than just sit and paint! The irony here is that we should see the Nuero team next month for diagnosis, so we get this far and then all the help falls in one big lump, typical really
