Mobile DAS return times and waits

When you get given your return time for a das, is it an hour slot like with a fast pass? Or is it a longer wait depending on how long the main queue for the ride is?
Thank you!

When we had our return time it was for whatever the wait time was posted. Some people have had different times tho sometimes 15mins off the wait time.

So ours was tower of terror was 2.5hours! 11.30 return (we got it at 9! Was very busy that day)

Slinky dog was 1hr10mins first time and 50mins second time

7dwarfs was 1hr20mins I think.

But yes it’s usually the posted wait time. That’s how it was for us

Oh I didnt think it worked like that! Why are you given a return time if you wait for the wait time - if that makes sense?!

It's just there to make things a bit easier. By having the return time you are able to go and do other things or sit down and relax rather than be stuck in a queue. You don't have to go back at the exact time they give but you can't obtain another return time till you have used it.

If the wait is over 30 mins, you get a return time that is the same as the line, you just don't have to wait in it. Then when you come back, you go down the FP line.

Our return times were hit and miss, some longer than the actual wait time some shorter and others dead on.

You can ride anytime after the return time, until park close. They do wipe any unused DAS passes from the previous day (we tested this unintentionally as ran our of time to do Frozen one day we had got a return time for it).

Once you get the DAS it will show up alongside your FP+ on your MDE app.

Don't forget, you can go to the CM's in the blue umbrellas and get a return time for any ride in the park, you don't have to go to the ride entrance each time.

A fantastic system and made all the difference to our holiday with my OH's condition.

Thank you, it's something we are very much hoping to get and make use of for our little girl who is 6. She has spd and asd and gets really overwhelmed in queues 🙈

It really helps and makes the time for those that need it a much calmer experience. Which helps everyone enjoy the time they are there.

Don't forget you can still use Fastpasses as well. They don't effect each other at all and can overlap. As already mentioned the DAS return times don't expire until the end of the day at Disney. DD and I just learned today that the similar ones at SeaWorld are only meant to last for 30 minutes. I don't know if they enforce this though.

You are given a return time but you can return at any time after that up until park closing.

So for example:
Flight of Passage
Standby time is 3 hrs
You ask for a DAS at 9am
You are given a return time of 12 noon.
You can use your DAS for FoP up until 8pm (park closing)
You can go about your day in the park using FP, etc.
However you can't get another DAS for another ride until you use your FoP one, or cancel it by applulying for a different one, on say Everest.

This is how it worked for us.
Imagine it as vertical queuing. We took the opportunity to get drinks, snacks, chill, etc.

Hope that makes sense.
