Character Breakfast
Hi guys, we are trying to decide between Chef Mickeys and The Crystal Palace for a character breakfast. Has anyone got any info or advice on which one is best? Thanks

Can’t compare I’m afraid but have done Crystal Palace breakfast a few times and love it. Not rushed and the food and service have been excellent. Breakfast is my favourite meal there, breakfast lasagne, yum! 😂

Have done character breakfasts at Crystal Palace, Tusker House, Ohana and Garden Grill. We really enjoyed Crystal Palace, we we're one of the first in at 8.05 and the food was fresh and the server we had was great. But out of all of them, Garden Grill was the best, the food was so nice and the characters came round 2/3 times, where as at all the others, they only came round once!

Personally think CM is a bit manic, very noisy between the two options you have provided then CP for me. Just been to Ohana for breakfast really enjoyed it, nice not having to get up and down for the buffet. Agree with the comments about Garden Grill you will meet the characters twice, it's really chilled there.

I have only been to Chef Mickey of those two. I have been to other character breakfasts and I find them all a bit manic, definitely not somewhere to go for a quiet dinner.
I would pick based on which set of characters I wanted to see. Chef Mickey was my very first character meal as I knew I would see the “big five” there. Next trip I am planning CP as I haven’t been there before. |

i would have thought that they're not really comparable.
CP is inside the park so you are losing out on park time where as CM you can do on a non park day. From what I've heard CM you don't get much time with the characters as it is so busy there and from my personal experiences at CP you get a lot more time, and yes it is noisyish but nothing compared to CM At CP you also get a fairly unique range of characters. btw we also did Tusker this year for the 1st time and i would put that up there with CP.

I've enjoyed CP lunch and Chef Mickeys breakfast. Both busy and loud. I'd choose based on characters and whether inside/outside the Mk suits best.

We’ve done all the character meals over the years a few times and I have to say Crystal Palace is my kids least favourite one. They aren’t really interested in Pooh etc. The food choices although nice aren’t quite as varied as other locations. We really enjoyed Chef Mickey’s last trip although it was dinner. Yes it’s busy and noisy but all character meals are plus it has the big five characters and a perfect way to start your Disney trip. Tusker House is still the best for us though followed by Garden Grill.
