Mobile Random question. How many cups of tea?

How many cups of tea do you think should offer work men?

There are here 9-4 with about hour lunch?

Have done mid morning and mid afternoon. This good or should I be offering more

I do one in the morning and one in the afternoon but it always annoys me as I work from home by myself and no one makes me a cup of tea 🤣

When workmen come in I show them where the kettle etc is and tell them to help themselves. I put biscuits/cake out also.

We had carpet fitters in last week. My OH didn't offer them a cuppa. They were in for 3 hours.

Is it still a thing?

Maybe a tradesman on here can shed some light.

Not for me - I never offer now these days .

Most bring their own flasks etc - I have had a lot of work done in my apartments over the last few months and often I wasn’t even here . Can’t think when/if I have ever made trades people coffee or tea ? After breakfast I just drink chilled water anyway - time’s have changed

DH is a tradesman, He takes a flask usually but does enjoy some very nice coffee from some of his regular clients.

He usually says no to coffee or tea due to preference some customers offer one or two some are not there and say help yourself ( which he doesn't do) and some offer all day !

He occasionally gets a biscuit or two and if the customer is a good baker he may get a piece of cake.

So its a very wide cross section and depends on how each customer feels, I had two builders from next door ask me for a cup of tea once ! that was a no as they had been cheeky earlier.

I always offer even if it’s just a couple of hours for a carpet fitting. If it was a full day job I would offer 2-3 times so I think morning and afternoon is perfect.

Tradesman here. However I did my time on construction sites so you made your own in the canteen or went without!

I offer most Trades who come to my house unlimited drinks but they are my Mates so that’s different.

Anybody else I will offer if I’m making. If I’m not then no.

Never given biscuits or cake and never will. If you want food bring your own.

Thinking back I can never recollect being offered biscuits etc
