In the cupboard and use it in cooking sometimes?

He's had physio, injection, x ray and had to hassle for all those. Begged last WK for a specialist so got it finally. Initial gp messed up and didn't realise it was caused by trauma hence were not eligible for referral.
So thinking operation will be needed , see what happens x
I think it has to be taken in tablet form to gain a good enough 'strength'

If money isn’t too much of an issue, I’m sure he could be seen within a week via Spire/Bupa - But I guess another 6 weeks won’t make a huge difference after this long. I hope he gets resolution in January. Good luck.

You said he has tried every thing but does that include a private referral ?

As he is loosing money by not working I would see this as a spend to save measure. Mid Jan is a long way off and nothing to say this appointment won’t get deferred due to weather/ill ness etc at that time of year. He could be seen next week then revert to NHS going forward Just a thought ...

You take a tablet form. Check Amazon or Holland Barrett.
There are many many brands and types. We just use Solgar Turmeric Root Extract as its a brand we know.

Ok.how do we do that ? Had a quick look at Bupa nearest one is an hour away and some appointments in 2 wks , £233. If he needs an operation can we still go through NHs though

You ask your GP to refer you to a private consultant - it may be cheaper than BUPA. I would research specialists myself and call their private secretary for an initial appointment. Eg I see my neurologist through NHS but paid for initial consultation once I had the MRI and MRA - I just found a consultant that had a good pedigree and operated in my local Trust - I saw him in same hospital (St Thomas) just a different area than I go to now - it saves me waiting 6 month and started treatment ASAP (NHS funded )

You need to research’s what’s available in your area but if you have an appointment in Jan you should know who with so contact his private secretary and give her a call - as a starter for 10

Yes, but you won't be fast-tracked any quicker for surgery but you'll have already sped the process up by going privately.
