One month to go...
Well, our wonderful holiday is drawing ever closer. Feeling reasonably in control so far, but I know the nerves are going to start building up from now on.
Pretty much all is sorted, certainly all the big things . We're busily watching all promo dvds we can get our hands on - I know we've been before, but there are new rides open, etc and the planning dvds really do give you a great memory boost. We are still yet to decide about seeing the shuttle launch on our first day - I'm all up for it, but OH can't decide whether getting up at silly-o-clock is a good idea. We've got all our dollars sorted - the last lot is due to arrive on 26th April. Clothing wise - we're determined not to overpack this time. OH has shorts and I have 3/4 length trousers from the last holiday, which we haven't worn in between, just needed to get a couple of tops. The cases are out on the spare bed, slowly getting filled. The list is made and double/triple checked. We've decided to take toiletries with us - we had toyed with the idea of just nipping to Walgreens on the first night to stock up, but to be honest, we decided we didn't want to break into our hard-saved dollars - instead we're buying stuff along with the weekly shop and frankly you don't notice the extra expense so much that way. It may mean that we have to lug them across the pond, but we won't bring anything back - won't risk 1/2 full opened shampoos in the luggage. Our itinerary has changed so many times. This close to the holiday seems to be when the oddities come to your attn. Like RockNRoller coaster being closed 15th to 20th May - needed to change round our visit to Hollywood Studios accordingly. The shuttle launch has meant fiddling with detail too - if we do decide to go, we'll want a really easy next day. We've decided that without fail we will go to Epcot on Sunday 16th May - it's the last day of the Flower Festival and I really don't want to miss out on the lovely topiary etc. We'll be heading back later on in the holiday to it'll be interesting to get a direct comparison to the before/after picture. I have decided that I will brave The Tower of Terror - I have to put this in writing so that I don't wimp out. So, what do I need to do now that we've reached the "one month" target? I'll have a hunt later for voucher/money off ideas - I know most of the ones that you sign up for need to be done close to the day of departure, so I'll start making a list of what I can hope to find, with the help of my fellow DIBBers. Would appreciate anyone's advice of stuff that I may have missed. So, for now, it's back to checking the long-range weather forecast for Orlando and dreaming of when we'll be there. Thanks for reading,
