Well another update as we are now into the 200+ countdown mark!

Huge congratulations to ... ME! But last month I bagged myself a new job, I am over the moon as I am now a Finance Manager for Sportscotland which is the governing body for Sport up here! Its an amazing career move and takes a huge strain off any financial worry regarding the trip! Feeling a bit guilty as I am now full time when I previously only worked 3 days a week but the boys at school/nursery and spend the afternoons with the grandparents and it is all for their benefit too!

So on to more trip planning... I have now booked our hotel room at Glasgow Airport, we are staying in the Normandy Hotel - not the most modern of hotel but I have stayed before and its clean and has a good breakfast so for £80 B&B along with 15 nights parking its a no brainer compared to almost £150 for the Holiday Inn Express.

Still need to book our Universal Tickets, hubby wants to do Seaworld where as I wasnt keen on it the last time so we still debating about that one at the moment.

Also need to call Disney as my Dining Reservation not showing on MDE so need this sorted before I book my ADRs in the new year.

Great pre-trippie! Your boys are so cute. They are going to have the time of their lives on the trip! Sounds like a fantastic holiday you have planned.

We don't have anything booked for next year yet and missing the planning. Our ds (2) keeps asking when he can go back on holiday though, bless him.

Thank you so much! I honestly can't wait they are going to be at such a great age!

Congratulations on the new job

We're staying at a Windsor Palms, will be our third trip staying in the same villa. Finally booked our fly drive through Virgin this weekend so can properly start planning now, and relax a little! Was stressing me out a little trying to wait for a good price but we booked as soon as we found one we were happy with

Looking forward to when I can start booking some adrs!

Sounds fantastic!

Also looking forward to getting my ADR's booked that's my next milestone. We paid off the balance of our flights on Saturday too - what a great feeling that is!

Hi everyone...

Hope everyone's, planning and dreams are coming along nicely, just thought I would pop along with an update on my plans and life in general, especially since the crucial 180 days mark has now passed for me.

Last Sunday was ADR day, and as 11 o'clock approached as a first timer at this onsite malarkey I found myself strangely nervous, however it couldnt have worked out better, I managed to get everything we had hoped for including a BOG dinner which I honestly had convinced myself we wouldnt get and also managed them all online (well apart from the Hoop-De-Doo as I had to call as it had asked for full payment upfront to do it online)

So with a final plan in place here are my masterpieces below, I am very very proud of these spreadsheets and apart from my children rate it up there with my greatest achievements

I think our ADR's are a good mixture, the only one I am not sure of is the Ohana dinner reservation as we are coming from Universal/IOA that day and spoke about getting dropped off at the Polynesian, I am desperate to try a dinner there as I feel my life is incomplete until I drink a cocktail from a Pineapple

Our boys still have no idea they are going and I could burst with excitement at holding it all in, but I keep telling myself it will all be worth it.

To date we have now also completed our ESTA's and they were trouble free. However now I need to go on the hunt for Travel Insurance this is something I have never done before as we had a policy through our Bank Account which we did rely on although never ever claimed through. But the bonus of this is ... I love Martin Lewis ... he is now my No1 God!

Having a quick glimpse through his weekly emails last month whilst on my teabreak and I noticed a point about charged bank accounts being wrongfully sold. Well 5 years ago we were told by a certain bank that if we wanted a mortgage with them we had to have their bank account and had to pay £15 per month for the privilege, having never claimed on the insurances provided with the account we contacted the bank and asked for a full refund and 2 weeks later full amount plus interest paid into the bank account, no questions asked, holiday balance paid off!

Total RESULT!

So all in all been a good month for us, just waiting on other key dates for fastpasses and online check in and we are going to be all good to go.

It cant come quick enough, thanks to anyone for taking the time to read my ramblings xx
