Virgin Car Hire

Just did a dummy booking for 6th August to see prices.. got to car hire bit and virgin at wanting over £700 to upgrade from their basic insurance to fully inclusive

Aye, it's a minefield at the moment with very expensive rates. When you're ready, or for price advice, contact The Dibb's Andy at DFCH (Discount Florida Car Hire), he'll keep you right as he can offer offline prices - andy@discountfloridacarhire.co.uk

He's very helpful, even to those not using him for car hire.

OP. Sad to say it always has been the way with a Virgin Flydrive or Virgin Holiday.

But there are other options. If I use Virgin for a car I book a stand alone hire. That comes fully Insured
The other option is via Virgin Atlantic you can book a Car + Flight, that car comes fully Insured.

The final option is you book a Flydrive or Holiday and don't bother collecting the 'free car'. Book a stand alone from a 3rd party supplier.
