Heathrow Parking in a van/mini bus

Heathrow parking, what would you do? Also sorry for the long post!

Flights from LHR T5 3a2c, we live in Warrington.

DH has a transit custom that he has semi converted so it has windows along half of it and a row of seats in the back. It is still classed as commercial vehicle. We are taking my mum with us next year so this is the more comfortable option than going in my car.

But loads of the parking is either height restricted or won’t accept commercial vehicles. So these are the option we have, it’s for next May but would like to get something booked in case the prices go up.

Can’t decide between

1, Maple parking £125 less 10%

2, Park at T5 short stay currently £197 (long stay won’t accept us and it’s only £20 cheaper)

3, Airport hotel and parking, Sheraton Heathrow, Sheraton Skyline etc are all around £175-200. So probably the cheapest option, but is the parking safe?

Think dh would prefer to keep his keys and nobody drive his beloved van but hey just need the easiest/cheapest option.

Then also can’t decide if we should stay at Heathrow and drop the van the night before or stay elsewhere, say Watford area and then drop the car on the day. Flight is 13.30 so plenty of time.

It is fairly easy to get from the PI to T5, last time we stayed here was 2012 and we just got (an expensive) taxi. I understand there is free local bus. If we did this option I would probably use the baggage collection service to make the bus easier.

Any words of wisdom or other options I may of missed?

Thank You

If Maple Parking take that type of vehicle and you decide to go with them hold fire for a bit as I regularly get 20% Promo Codes for them and post it on here.

Personally I never self park as cars get damaged and you have no idea who did it.

Thanks Mr T

Yes I think we will go for Maple and I’ll hang on for a code.
It’s fit in a regular parking space etc so I’m not sure why some of them have a problem, hey ho.

Thanks again
