Booking a package holiday but not using the accommodation

Hi All

We are going next May (hopefully) having cancelled twice.

We usually go DIY but have found it expensive for flights. Has anyone booked a package holiday but not used the accommodation? The prices for flight only seem high but cheaper with a package. We already have a villa booked separately.

Thanks in advance

Yes you can book just 1 night of accommodation in the cheapest place on this list or one day's car rental to secure the package and you don't need to use the hotel/car element.

We did it with virgin years ago when Tesco Clubcard holidays were achievable. We dropped into the hotel out of courtesy just to let them know that we wouldn’t be checking in. All was fine.

You can definitely do this but if you're visiting the parks, you can use it to your advantage, e.g. book one night at the cheapest Universal deluxe to get the package discount and two days of express passes.
