Our first day in June 1990 - first ever photo in the USA. The weather did get better

Another vote for the ferry here! The first time I went, in 2002, I swear Tigger (though it seems more reasonable that it might have been Pluto - it was a long time ago!) was up on the top deck waving at everyone. I instantly turned into to an excitable 6 year old! Absolutely magical.

Monorail going and the ferry coming back at night.

I remember as a 5 year old being blown away going through an actual hotel. I took the same decision with my lads and they had the same response. Mind boggling...

I think I see a definite trend here. Some time ago, speaking with a friend, they suggested that you couldn't see the castle from the monorail. Is that correct? I honestly can't remember as the last three visits we have only ridden the boat to go across to the entrance

For me, that first time has to be the boat. There’s something so magical about approaching the park and the castle slowly getting larger. The monorail is great in its own way but for sheer impact on that first visit definitely the boat.

You can see it, but it's mostly obscured by Tomorrowland. The boat gives a far better approach view wise.

I would choose the monorail hands down but that's because I'm a railed transport geek. Boats bore me.
