Thank you for letting us know how you got on. I’m due to take my 8 year old son on 17th of August and all of the logistics are a bit overwhelming! At least I will only have to pay for tests for myself and a day 2 one for him. I’ve also had my vaccination certificate posted with a french translation.

Just out of interest, what did you do in terms of cash? Are they happy to accept it in shops? I was planning on taking my Halifax Clarity plus a couple of hundred in Euros.

There is a mistake in your information.

2&8 day pack of tests for all passengers over 11

This is not correct. Its 5 years and over for the day 2 & 8 tests.

Edited at 01:20 AM.

Just noticed this update on gov website. Looks like over 11s if unvaccinated need a rapid antigen result within last 24hrs for travel not 48 hrs as it was previously.
Will leave it a bit tight for getting the results turned around.

Looks like that relates to unvaccinated parties. The section below says under 18s travelling with vaccinated adults need an antigen test within 48 hours.

Did you notice any information about these new passes required to enter entertainment premises such as theme parks.
We are both vaccinated but obviously 17 year old not. She would need a test every 48 hours in France.
I’m presuming you have to download an app. Tbh I haven’t got a clue🤔

I read it as unvaccinated under 18s travelling with vaccinated adults are exempt from the need to self isolate or provide an essential reason for travel.
It doesn't say that they are exempt from the testing requirements so would assume this still applies.
Its all so confusing!
