Best options for adding on days

Assuming that we don't get 21 day WDW tickets back, what are the best options to look into if we're there for 3 weeks and would like to visit the parks across the whole 3 weeks?

To take a rough guess, in our final week, we would probably want to visit the parks maybe 4 times. I really don't want to spring for another 7 day ticket (given that it's currently the same price as you'd pay for 14 days). Are there local options that we could use which would work out cheaper (and that we wouldn't need to buy on the gate on the day)? How would that work with pre-booking park attendance?

A 4 day US ticket (4 days of entry, but valid for use over 7 days) is currently around $450 for base, $550 with park hopping. However the US tickets use seasonal pricing, so exact price will depend on your dates. Prices are from Undercover Tourist, I just selected the first available date for reference.

For 2022, looks like it will increase to around $475/$560 (random dates in May selected) by which point you're not saving a huge amount over UK tickets if you want hoppers. Especially if you want Memory Maker since US tickets don't come with that, so you'd need to add on another $169 per party for that.

If I were you, I'd wait until the end of this year when the UK tickets typically go on sale. It won't be a huge saving, but might bring it down close to the hopper price. But if you decide to purchase US tickets, you can buy in advance and link to MDE the same as UK tickets.

Thank you! It does look like being patient and waiting it out is the answer - but between having to buy an extra set of tickets, plus paying for fastpasses...beans on toast for dinner for the next 5 years
