First, Disney changed the time when you could log in and start booking fastpass+ at the 30 day mark. It changed to 12pm (midday) UK time. So you didn't have to get up at silly o'clock any more.

Second, for 95% of the rides getting online at exactly 12pm wasn't required. The vast majority of the attractions could still be booked even if you left it for several days before you booked them. Of the other attractions, some of them would've already been booked up by onsite guests weeks before offsite guests got a look in.

So, ignoring the usual social media panic, guests could've relaxed and waited until the evening of their 30 day window and taken their time to book fastpasses without rushing and getting up at silly o'clock.
