25th Wedding Anniversary - Where to go?

As we were both celebrating big birthdays this year (50 and 60) and our 25th wedding anniversary we chose 3 different trips to do. We went to New York earlier in the year. Have just come back from the Cotswolds where we celebrated our wedding anniversary. In 6 weeks time we head to Australia, having a few days in Dubai on the way home to try and help with the jet lag!

We celebrated ours earlier this year and went to Sri Lanka. Fabulous mix of romantic, lazy beach days and spectacular touring, we hired a driver over there who planned our itinerary and booked all our hotels and trips.
Just some of the highlights, it's very diverse and there's so much to see, the elephant orphanage, a safari to see the leopards, the train from Ella to Nanu oya, 'Little England', tea factories and plantation fields, Sri Muthumariamman Hindu Temple, Sigiriya rock fortress, Dambulla rock temple and releasing the baby turtles back into the sea.
We're also off to New York in December as that's where we spent our honeymoon and we haven't been back since.

Just back from Bali and currently writing up the Trip Report.

If travelling East, then check out the fares on Qatar Airlines, especially the ex-EU flights via Doha in Club class.

Some of these holidays sound fantastic, though my wife has never fancied going East.
We had a week in New York and fitted in a day out to Philidelphia, which is only 2 hours away on the train.We stayed in a really nice hotel (Sofitel) and had an amazing time.

We have ours the following year and I have a special birthday next year so we are combining both and planning on going to Borneo hopefully if funds allow

We have a special year this year, our 30th wedding anniversary and my 50th birthday 😳 So decided to make it a special holiday year, we went to Antigua in April, were in Barcelona in July on our actual anniversary and are going with our grown up kids to Mexico in October for my birthday- we haven't all been away together for years so are very excited for that 😃
