Dinning offer

Saw earlier in the year a great offer which included a free dining plan. Do they do this offer a lot as I didn't book at the time?

Yes it comes around quite often. I think the book 2 nights get 2 nights free finishes soon, so I suspect that the free dining will be next.

Bear in mind that if you get the free half board, you only get 'grab and go' breakfast, not breakfast in the hotel.

'Grab and go' is available at various places and consists of various things. Unfortunately it seems to keep changing and people at DLP seem to get told different things! Here's what I can gather:

1) at your hotel bar (or Starbucks at Cheyenne) - coffee, OJ and a pastry

2) at New York Style Sandwiches in the Village - same (opens 8am, which will be more helpful after October when EMH changes to 8.30-9.30)

3) Cable Car Bakehouse window - same

4) Market House Deli - same

5) Restaurant En Coulisse (Studios) same, and again, this will be more useful once they start doing 8.30 EMH there

6) Cafe Hyperion in Discoveryland. This is the main one they tell people about, and it is different from the others. In addition to your coffee, OJ and pastry, you get either an 'omelette burger' (omelette and bacon in a burger bun with cream cheese on it) or if you prefer, a small roll with butter and jam.

Another option is to pay extra to add breakfast on to your booking, or to upgrade while you are there for some days. We upgraded to hotel breakfast on our last day - it was 13 Euros each at Newport Bay.

When we were there in August the cheese in the omelette burger definitely wasn't cream cheese. It was those cheese slices that you often get in cheeseburgers.

I actually enjoyed the omelette burger and found the total amount of breakfast from Hyperion to be acceptable.

It's both! It has a slice of that processed cheese but there is also something like cream cheese as a sauce - I thouht it was mayo at first but then we decided it was cream cheese. I love it

I booked the german offer and was told brekkie is in the park. I'm staying at dlh and lots of people have said it will be a hotel brekkie but Disney said it's only if they have space when we arrive
