Help with change of resort please
Hi Everyone
We have booked at All Stars Sports for the first 2 weeks in November 2018,upgrading to the DDP, we are happy with this , as we have stayed here before, albeit 10 years ago for our 1st visit and thought it would be nice to go back ! Well that was until we discussed how nice POR French Quater looked. We rang Virgin to request if it would be possible to move resorts but told there was no availability at all It's not a major problem , but it perhaps would have been nice. Can I ask people if they think it would be worth just keep trying? as it is over a year away Thanks in advance |

IME, POFQ is really struggling with availability. It's a small resort so the free dining room allocation would be tiny anyway. But then a lot of people have been put off by the construction at CBR and CSR, so have booked there instead. I can't even get it in some of the historic lowest attendance weeks of the year.
No harm in checking every so often though! Possible more rooms might open up after the offer is finished in early November. |

Why not try Riverside, it's a very short less then ten minutes walk or a quick boat ride over to French quarter so you pretty much get the best of both worlds
We stayed and Riverside this last trip and often walked over to fq to use their food court |

Thank you for your replies
Riverside looks nice too, just someone told us the french quater would be cheaper ? Just a thought, would we perhaps be able to get a reasonable deal on the resorts with work being done or would that bot be a possibility. THANKS as usual |

FQ and RS are usually the same price at the base level. The only thing that would make RS more expensive is if they're sold out of standard rooms, so you have to pay for a premium view or royal room. But same can be true at FQ if they're sold out at standard.
CBR and CSR are cheaper than either PO at the moment due to the work. You might want to read the construction threads in the accommodation board before booking just to save a few pounds though - may not be worth it! Edited at 10:21 PM. |
