I think that with the speciality restaurants there is an age and time limit, ie no child under 16 (or could be 12) can eat after 6.30pm... something like that anyway but I know it is on the RCI website.

Re the Main Dining room, when you get given your seapass at check in it will have your restaurant name and table number. This is open as soon as you board so you can check it out straight away. There is also a time (listed on the compass) when the maitre d' is available to discuss changing your table location, size, time etc.

Thanks for the info, I'll make sure I check out our table straight away.

Did I read (it might have been in your report) that you have to get tickets for the ice show on board and if so where from?

Sorry for all he questions I just like to be prepared and know what I'm doing.

Hi Kay,

We have just got back off the Freedom, which as said above is virtually identical.

We had to get tickets for the ice show as the rink only held 700 people, with 4000 passengers onboard its first come first served! They were handing them out on the Royal Promenade on deck 5, I just made sure that I got there as soon as they were given out at 9.30am a few days before the first ice show. You could pick which show time and date you preferred. Saying that, a few days later there were still tickets available for the Saturday afternoon ice show which were just sitting to be picked up at guest relations. You will love it!

We boarded onto deck 4, which is by the main restaurants.

Hope that helps. You will all have an amazing time

Is there anything else besides checking our dining table that I need to do as soon as I get onboard?

Not that I can think of. One other thing that we do like to do is try and get as many pictures as we can - as we are usually one of the first ones onboard, it is nice to get shots without lots of people in the way.

If you desperately want a spa appointment on a certain day/time, esp sea days / formal nights, then I would head there also and make the appointments as soon as possible.
