Staying at campsite - who has done it?

We've just done this too.

Did our Extra Magic Hours in the park in the morning, then headed to the campsite mid-afternoon to check in and get our magic bands (tried to go the day before but they weren't having it! ) All linked and worked perfectly.

I agree that you should only really get 60-day fastpasses for the days you are staying and not the subsequent two weeks (albeit one day at a time...) but I've no regrets about doing this - it's just using Disney's booking system to your advantage.

Did you do on line check in first as I have heard people have been able to pick up their bands earlier if they did this.

Would they not let you pick up bands earlier? I have been told you can get a few days in advance if you have checked in online by guest services. I also have received an email today, 4 days before check in date to say bands are ready for collection, so was planning on going day before do we can get ride video that day and also go straight to park o n the morning.

Hi there
So after checking with guest relations and being told by email, we could get bands from campsite in advance and getting email to say they were ready, we checked in online in advance and visited campsite the afternoon before to be told no chance!
The lady there was adamant we couldn't collect until at least 3am on the check in morning and the email was wrong!
We returned at 7.30 next morning and were out again within two minutes with parking pass and 4 magic bands.
Although we had the hassle of visiting twice it was great having the 2 days parking, magic bands and fast pass booking early. Would definitely do again. Was extremely grateful we didn't camp though as we had a tropical storm pass through that night!

Did you get a physical parking pass on piece of paper? I had thought that it was now linked to your mde automatically
