We love PO, but if construction is finished at CBR I would choose it instead. Newly build and refurbed wins everytime. And kids love the Coke Freestyle machines that CBR will have.
PO is getting a little old in the rooms and POFQ is due for a soft refurbishment in early 2018 and PORS in mid/late 2018. Another reason to avoid until you can get a newly refurbished room.

Interesting that the P.O. resorts are getting a refurb. We commented that the rooms looked a bit tired. And the air con was so noisy! It actually drowned out a hurricane!

The worst thing about PO is the aircon units. We always turned them almost off during the night just for some piece and quiet and relied on the ceiling fan. Hopefully CSR and CBR don't get the same units after their full refurbs, but PO will be keeping the noisy units for several more years.

I hate the idea that they are replacing carpets in PO rooms with hard floors. Also they are testing out a few ideas in some PO rooms, including not providing miniature bottles of soap and shampoo, but instead having fixed things on the walls.

Port Orleans is split into 2 properties. The large Riverside (PORS) and the small French Quarter (POFQ).

Yes I'd prefer pofq but it's not available at the minute, I'll keep looking to see if it does become available though.

POFQ has just become available in a accessible room too, rang up and changed rooms had to pay a £50 admin fee but will be worth it for the bus stop and being closer to the food court and drinks etc.
