Apple Watch Series 2
Does anyone have one? what's the battery life on them?
Would you recommend? I know the 3 series isn't to far off but apparently not much different. Edited at 01:41 PM. |

I got mine in Best Buy in May.
Very pleased with it. Battery would last me 2 days but I have a phone and watch charger stand on my bedside table so put it there at night. |

As above. Very pleased.
the 3 has cellular built in, meaning you can use it for calls, texts etc without the phone. That's the main difference. Currently you have to have the phone within bluetooth range to do any calls/texts etc.

Is there a good saving on the UK price in Florida with these?

At the moment with the current exchange rate there is a pretty decent saving. I priced up a series 3 watch 42mm case with apple care and it worked out at £388 (this price include florida sales tax at 6.5%)
In the uk the series 3 watch alone is £429 for the 42mm case then add apple care at £59 it comes out to £488! . My prices were done just buying direct from apple and I will wait till I go out in October to buy one as I think a £100 saving is well worth while. |

I currently have a Series 1 but love it loads! I might look for an upgrade when in Florida next February. You can answer calls on the Series 1 but need the phone to be nearby. I love doing it - talking to my wrist - very star trek!

You can use the series 2 on a known wifi network if your phone is also on a wifi network or using data.
For example - I left my phone in the hotel and wore my watch to the water park which was on Disney wifi and still got my messages through. Didn't make any calls as I didn't need to but I think I could have. I've also left my phone at home before and used watch through work wifi to get all my messages. |

Series 2 has just been discontinued, now only S1 and S3 which is a bit mad!

I have a Series 2. The battery life is very decent - the longest I've had it last is probably close to 48 hours (admittedly some of that was in flight mode). I routinely use it for 36 hours at a stretch and it will last for that time.
I love my Apple Watch, it's what got me back into running!
