Just have a list of what you want to see and where it is, then just tick them off as you feel like doing them. Best to group them into areas and just hit an area when you want.

We enjoy a good walk and that's the way to see the sites lol. I'm sure I will get abit lost around the roulette tables. 😉

When we stay in the Bellagio, day 1 normally means walking through all casino's / hotel areas all the way up to the shopping mall with a trip to Macy's!

Day 2 is usually from Paris to Wynn and day 3 is the south end of the strip from Cosmo down to NYNY / MGM and Luxor.

These are long days as everyone says, but really enjoyable and fun. A little gamble here and there, a quick freebie drink on the machines, a spot to eat lunch or grab a coffee or stronger, strolling around the shops but mainly taking in all the amazing Casino's and absorbing what each one has, from gondolas, to hundred feet musical fountains, to the cobbled street of Paris, to roller coaster rides, to piano bars for a nice cocktail, to rainforest gardens, to Pirate shows, to amazingly colourful floral detailed displays of huge design... so much to see, do and enjoy - Have an amazing time!

Ian was wondering how you managed with your Florida trip and Irma? Was thinking of you

Thanks JoS, back yesterday safe and sound.

Will do a mini trip report over next couple of days about it, but contributed heavily to the hurricane sub forum whilst we were there!

In brief, was quite scary the night before, when we were told to leave the dining room to go to our rooms quickly as the storm was moving in quicker than thought. We got drenched and nearly blown away in the 30 second dash to our lodge building and that was scary enough, 4 hours before the big stuff hit.

Like a typical man, I slept through the worst of it, waking up at 5am saying to DW, that wasn't so bad, was it? Hmmph, she was awake all night thinking our roof (we were top floor) was going to be blown off, and the windows blown open!

Damage next morning was not as bad as it could've been, one large palm tree uprooted, several others tipped over and minor flooding near the docking area, and general foliage mess, but all in all not too bad. It was all cleared up over 2 days, but we were confined to the hotel for 2 days too, which was a bit boring, but in the scheme of things, you couldn't complain considering the devastation elsewhere.

We were well looked after, the GF staff were very good, but we couldn't wait for the Tuesday to get out and about. The first week, the parks were very quiet, so that was good, but things picked up in the second.

Anyway, GF as good as ever, great MK Castle view from our balcony and fireworks, lovely Citrico's and Narcoosees meals - all is certainly well at the GF!

How was your trip to Vegas - as good as ever?!

Glad to hear things were not too bad Ian. I suppose if you had to be "grounded" somewhere the Floridian was a good place. At least you had the benefit of the parks being quiet. Good to hear it didn't spoil things too much for you.

Vegas was wonderful thanks. Just went by too quickly. Roll on January . Have re booked our accommodation and now doing 6 nights Vdara and undecided about 2 nights at Bellagio. Our daughter is there with us and staying there but we have chosen Vdara. We then all go on to Jockey Suites...next to Bellagio. Have San Fran, then Cruise first, then maybe Florida for a few days at the end. So good things to look forward to.

What about you?

You've got a nice time already booked up then - we love cruising too, and SFO - you've got to do 2 nights at the Bellagio! Never stayed at the Vdara, we did the Aria nearby once, but never again, it just didn't fell like a Vegas hotel for us, and we felt a bit underwhelmed by it all. We've done the Bellagio a few times, but this time we are going to the Wynn early Feb, so cannot wait for that, as part of my wife's surprise 50th, 4 nights there, 3 in NY - cannot wait!
