Dates to Book Cheap Flights to LAX (from Newcastle)?

We recently agreed with DB and DSIL to go for a joint family holiday to California next year. We are fixed on 20th July to 3rd August so looking for flights. Currently showing around Ł900 each. Thought I'd found a deal on Skyscanner last night which showed a price of Ł660, but from the time I started the booking process to reaching the payment stage the price had increased by almost Ł1500 for the 3 of us

. Could anyone tell me the best time (and sites) to search for sale price tickets for this trip, or is it just a case of searching every day and hoping for a good price to turn up again?

Just a case of keep checking. It use to be that the sale was at Christmas but last year they ran flash sales both in September and November for July/August.

I like to use google flights and kayak to help me search.

BA always have a sale at xmas usually starts around the 23rd December and ends the end of January

Thanks to both of you. Will just keep checking and listening for news of sales. If I don't get anything by end of January I suppose we'll just have to bite the bullet and buy what's the best offer at the time.
