Tioga pass stressing
Hi everyone. I've just heard TP is temporary closed due to snow. I know that if we have to drive the other way to YNP it's going to take longer but we have hired a convertible and if the road opens is it wise to drive it with that car?
Thanks |

Might be chilly
I think its going to be a case of keep watching the road conditions and having a back up route in mind. If there is a chance of snow they will have a snow chain policy in place and I don't believe hire car allows them. |

Tioga is really steep and has some nasty twists so I wouldn't attempt it if there was snow. National Parks insist that in snowy conditions you must have a 4x4 or carry wheel chains. |
