BA or Norwegian Airlines
Still havent taken the plunge and booked flights, BA are now coming in slightly cheaper than Norwegian Air, outbound flight is with American Airlines and returning with BA, does anyone have any thoughts on which airline is better?
Norwegian Air - £1928.40 BA - £1841 This is for 2 adults and 1 x 12 Year Old Gatwick to LA Thanks |

BA for me..
We've done Heathrow - LA with them a number of times now, Well we fly out on AA back with BA.. I usually book a fly drive though as often the car works out pretty much free. BA/AA have far more flights than Norwegian so if a flight is cancelled like mine was this year there is still a good chance of getting you on a flight the same day. I also earn Avios points which are useful, they've just paid for my car hire in full for next weeks trip. |

Same as Daytonababe, for basically the same reasons. Plus you get more baggage allowance on BA.
That said, I've used Norwegian and they were fine and I'd happily use them again. But, if price is equal, I would choose BA. Also worth checking the flight times - one of the flights may be more appealing from that point of view. T

Thanks for this, think we are going to go BA, just price up fly drive and the car hire seems very expensive so will probably just book the flight, now to decide on the return flight time, main difference seems to be the actual plane that we come home on, the Airbus seems to be the latest version so may opt for that one.

BA 100%
Norwegian are good when things go right, but when it goes wrong they are awful. When we were delayed over two days we had to keep calling them from Home, luckily we had set off for the airport yet. There were no reps at airport Giving updates, other Dibbers were at the airport and had been put up in a hotel but then had minimal contact with reps. We would phone and pass on info to people at the airport via the forum and vice versa if they got any info. The crew and flight were excellent when we finally did depart we wouldn't rush to use them again. Also had to fight for compensation that they took over a year to pay. |
