Advice on jourrney times (Port Canaveral)
Next year we are doing a holiday in Florida and then driving down to Port Canaveral to go on a 3 night cruise round the Bahama's.
Our cruise gets back into Port Canaveral at 7am on a Sunday. My question is would you think we would be pushing it to drive back to the villa in Orlando, collect our things and drive onto Orlando airport for a 5pm ish flight. Or do you think it's better to get the villa out for an extra night and fly home the day after? Rachel xx

we cruised from canavarel this year, it can take up to an hour and a half to getoff the ship then the drive is just over an hour back to disney,so you could easily make your flight.

We were back at our condo at 09:30 and we left the ship just after 08:00am. You wont have any problems doing what you suggest.

You won't have any problems getting your flight - you should even get time for a round of mini golf before you leave for the airport.
However... I have to warn you it really is such a double downer...coming off the ship AND flying home the same day ... we always try to grab an extra day or two after the cruise in Orlando, or at the coast, nowadays. - believe me, if you do add a couple of days will be soooo glad you did !

You could certainly make your flight. But...
I would also try for an extra night like the other Dibber said it can be a downer coming off the cruise. |

Yup gotta say this year we got off the cruise and even though we did a little shopping, lunch at Bahama Breeze and visited some friends at SSR it was more than a little depressing to be heading back to the airport on the same day

Just realised we have to be out of our villa by 10am, so i may email the villa owners and see if we can have the villa for an extra couple of hours. If they say no, then i guess we will be staying an extra night, which isn't a bad thing lol x

You could always treat yourself to a night (or two ! ) in a nice hotel...
... I would recommend the Omni at Championsgate.

We were off the ship by 7.15am, and were at the Florida mall by 9.30am (we had to get to Budget and pick up car first).
The trouble was that it was a Sunday and the mall didn't open until 12! |
