Talking Just booked our first ever cruise...

I'm so excited. We've just booked our first ever cruise on the Disney Wonder as part of our holiday next year to celebrate our silver wedding

I know I'll have loads of questions to ask so be gentle with me please till I get my sea legs...

Think I need to do a little sailor's hornpipe..

Great news. It's our silver wedding next year as well and had thought about booking a cruise to celebrate but decided to wait until the year after and book the new Dream.

Thanks everyone - it'll be a completely new experience for both of us, although I've been on a couple of cruise liners with my job long ago, I've never been a passenger and I can't wait.

Oooh that'll be lovely! I don't feel grown-up enough to be having a silver wedding anniversary, are you the same?

We're having four weeks holiday for the first time ever but I'm sure after 25 years of marriage we'll be able to put up with each other for that long...

Four weeks will be wonderful Fiona

Not sure if I don't feel old enough or too old sometimes

Thanks Leanne

How did you find the dining experience? Do you know whether as a couple without kids we'd be sitting with other couples rather than families? Not that I have a problem with kids at all (I'm just a big one myself ) but I do like adult conversation too.

And did you have to dress up more for meals or would you say that you'd dress as if you were eating at the likes of The Yachtsman or Cali Grill for example?

Questions, questions!

You'll have a fab time! We've always cruised as a couple and most times have been sat just with other couples, although last time we were sat with a couple and their 17 year old son. Having said that we rarely saw him as he was off with his freinds most of the time. He was a lovely lad btw!

Its up to you how much you dress up really. We like to dress up a bit but otherwise most people just dress fairly smartly as you say. What a lovely way to celebrate! Make sure you let them know you're celebrating!
