You should be fine with that. Only things not covered are glass, tires and under body of vehicle. We buy a annual policy to cover that and locked out of car...etc. Some people buy it for peace of mind...others don't and have no issues.
Also, fuel isnt included unless you buy the gold package of course so you either prepay or bring it back full. :-)

This is a great post - apologies I haven't read all the posts. We had care hire as part of a package when we went in 2012 and had a VW Jetta which was perfect for our family, but would like something a bit bigger this year as will be doing more driving and obviously kids are now three years older. I believe the Jetta was a Standard car hire, I quite fancy something equivalent size to a Ford C max/ Honda CRV - what would be the USA equivilant?

Thanks

Hmmm a Ford Escape (Midsize Suv)

or perhaps the Chevy Equinox (Standard Suv)

I haven't been in the newest model of the Ford Escape but we had one a few years ago and it wasn't that good BUT I have read it's improved in regards to comfort, fuel and drive

I don't know what your budget is but Midsize is of course cheaper than the standard Suv.

Hope this helps

Thank you - that looks the sort of thing I would like to hire. We drive a Golf and a Polo at home, so would be nice to have something different whilst on holiday.
