Mall shopping
Hi guys
We are here at the moment and are going to go to the mall tomorrow. We have been to the mall at millenia 2 years ago , is this the best or if the Florida Mall better , we want to go to a Apple Store as well ? |

Getting Excited

Entirely personal preference, FWIW we found Mall at Millenia a bit too high brow fashion oriented for us (we're a little... erm... alternative i guess) and much preferred Florida Mall, but found more bargains at Altamonte Mall.
If you can pull up store directories from the malls you're interested and see which has more stores that you want to visit (probably Florida Mall, it's huge!) Edit: There's an Apple store at each of the three malls i've mentioned, but no idea if one is superior to the others, sorry. Edited at 12:02 AM. |

My suggestions on the malls -
Florida - was getting a bit old and tired last year, food court make over and some new stores this year have really helped bring it back on track. Has most "normal stores" well catered for. Millennia - great mall if your wanting quality labels, yes it's more expensive but some great deals to be had, and even when buying in Macy's I was given discounts on bulk purchases of designer label stuff that wasn't offered in other Malls. Also has a great watch shop in mayors, the level of service here is very good. Altamonte - a bit further out, same kind of stores as Florida mall with one BIG difference - it's not a tourist area and it's MUCH cheaper than the above two malls, has better sales than the above two malls as a result we always end up going here for holister clothing for the kids $7 tshirts, $12 polo, $19 hoodies - cheap as chips, other malls weren't the same price, almost filled a case in here on its own |

My preference is Mall at Millenia although there are a lot of high end stores there are plenty of regular high street brands and I always find what I want. Florida Mall I just dont bother with anymore its a bit tired. Altamonte I've been to once and for me it was a waste and not a trip I will repeat. Its approximately 40-45 mins from Rolling Oaks on 192 (which is near where we stay) depending on traffic.
I think your choice of mall is very much dependent on what you are looking for and which stores you want. Hope you enjoy

I'm staying in Kissimmee to when we go in September and I've just looked were Altamonte Mall is because I think I will be having a trip there. From Vineland road (this road is at the side of publixs in Kissimmee) follow straight till you get to the i4 go right and follow I-4 E to FL-436 E/E Altamonte Dr in Seminole County then take exit 92 from I-4 E then a left onto Festival Drive and its on your right you wont miss it.
hope that helps you and enjoy your holiday. |

For me I hit Florida Mall. I blitz my shopping in a few hours so Florida Mall is perfect for me - I hit Sears, JC Penny, Dillards, Payless Shoues and Old Navy and that usually carries me through for the next 2 years.
As said above, very personal. Some of the outlet malls are better for "premium" brands but you get these in Florida Mall as well. |
