YC or BC best for my mum ?

Hi guys
So we are moving everything over to next year and we are hoping to move our Disney booking soon.
I posted on the accommodation group about YC in comparison to BC but then I got thinking is either particularly better for my mum ?
It's my parents first trip and it has taken 17 years and a stroke to get my mum to agree to get on the plane
She can't walk more than a few steps without getting tired and wobbly so will need a scooter for outside the room for certain. .. I'm not sure how easily a scooter fits in the rooms or stuff ?
Also she can't stand in the shower for long so would need a chair or bath (she's so stubborn though and hates the idea of using a shower chair, even though at home her shower has a fold out chair but that's part of the cubicle 🤦🏻)
She tends to bump into things or falls really easily so my dad normally holds her up or she takes her trolly at home (it's a frame with a Basket) but she doesn't go far .. normally just in and around the garden.
Can I ask any advice to make the trip as easy as possible for her, also like I say she is soooo stubborn and will not admit she needs help. I have made it plain however that she will need a scooter and she has said ok 👍🏻
Any advice would be great xxx

I haven't stayed in either (so don't know) but is it worth looking at the room plans (I normally use Touring Plans website) to see how much clearance space you have? We were very impressed with the space in the 1 and 2 bed apartments in Old Key West and Saratoga Springs which would be easy to move around with a walker.

Are you looking at the hotel or the DVC side? Sorry that I am not more help.

My sisters stayed at both and no issues with the Scooters in rooms. They are a good size in general. They do have disabled rooms - you need to request in advance and these have some adaptions. The normal rooms have showers over baths so you have to step into them which might be difficult.

Scooter is a good way to go from the sounds of it. Also she wont look out of place which I think sometimes people feel here. My sister has mobility issues and used a scooter in Disney as a last resort but after using once actually found it alot less of an issue than she expected. She felt she would feel like she was giving in but actually it gave her some freedom to get around. She still brings a stick to get off and on scooter and around where the scooter can't be used but its a good option.

In terms of YC or BC They are pretty much the same. YC is slightly further from EPCOT thats the only difference - apart from decor.
